Hello…

I am Vivek, nice to meet you. I’m a photographer based in Toronto, Canada & available worldwide. In my free time I love to travel, take photos all around the world and meet new friends. I was born in Taiwan, but I have lived in several different countries, including Indonesia (Bali), Malaysia, and USA (Michigan). I finally settled in Toronto a few years ago. I have an art degree in both graphic design and photography.

I used to work as a full time in-house graphic designer and I still remember the day when I finally saved up enough to buy my own first camera (a Canon DSLR). I was so stoked and started taking pictures wherever I went. As my photography skills improved and I started to produce some high quality shots I began selling pictures at a stock photos site.

I loved photography so much that on top of my main job I was creating projects on my own and spending my weekends taking photos, dreaming that one day that I could just do photography for a living. I shot my very first wedding in the year 2012 and I loved it very much. Documenting the precious moments: the fun, love, joy, laughter, tears, and the happiness all these are the reasons that motivates me.

In 2014, I lost my job due to company restructuring layoffs, and I took that as a sign of positive change: it finally gave me that push to start on my own as a freelance photographer.

Over the years I have worked with many different clients and I have learned to use various types of photography. I have also invested in different types of equipment and lenses that suit my style and needs for photography work. I enjoy all kinds of challenges: portraits, lifestyle, landscape, editorial, headshots, corporate events, live events, products, family, newborn, fashion, sports, real estate, etc. Recently I have become particularly interested in wedding photography, as it is a combination of many types of photography, which makes it so unique and challenging.
